ORDINANCE N0. 71-6 <br />BY: MR. LEECH <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ALTERNATE BID OF <br />IDEAL PLUPDfING & HEATING CO. FOR THE PLUMBING <br />WORK IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECONSTRUCTION OF <br />THE VILLAGE HALL <br />WHEREAS, advertisement for bids has been published according to law for <br />the plumbing work in connection with the reconstruction of the Village Hall, and <br />WHEREAS, the alternate bid of Ideal Plumbing & Heating Co ., a responsible <br />bidder, in the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($1,523.00) <br />for certain work hereinafter described, in addition to the plumbing work included <br />in the original bid accepted under Ordinance No. 70-54, is the lowest and best bid <br />submitted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The alternate bid of Ideal Plumbing 6 Heating Co. in the <br />amount of One Thousand Five Hundred Ttaenty-Three Dollars ($1,523.00) for jailcell <br />and other plumbing work described in said alternate bid is hereby accepted, and <br />the Pfayor and Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract in writing with said bidder for said purpose in accordance with the ' <br />advertised specifications and the alternate bid submitted. <br />Section 2. Said sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars <br />($1,523.00) is hereby appropriated for said purpose. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants because it is necessary to <br />provide housing for the Village operations as soon as possible, and said Ordinance <br />shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of January, 1971. <br />ATTEST: <br />d <br />.7 e [~ <br />~:'l' MAYOR-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />6--i~~' ~~J`~v/ <br />(SEAL) CLERK- REASURER <br />
