Shaw <br />AN ORDIN,ANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 309, BEING AN <br />ORDINANCE TO REGULATE TRAFFIC ON THE STREETS AND <br />PUBLIC HIGHWAYS OF THE VILI,AGE OF MAYFIELD, BY ADDING <br />11 <br />SECTION 18.1 PERTAINING TO_RECHI.ESS DRIVING OFF <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAXS. . . . . , . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THM COUNCIL OF THE VII,I.AGE OF MAYFILT,D, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO <br />THAT: . . <br />Sec. 1. Ordinance No. 309, being an ordinance to regulate traffic <br />on the streets and public highways itt the Village of Mayfield, is hereby amended <br />by adding Section 18.1 reading as follocus: <br />"Sec. 18.1 - Careless driving off streets and highways. No <br />persott,shall operate a vehicle without due regard for the safety and <br />rights of pedestrians and drivers and occupants of all other vehicles, <br />so as to endanger the life, limbt or property of any person while in <br />the lawful use of any public or private property other than streets <br />or highcoays. This section does not apply to the competitive operation <br />of vehicles on.public or private property when the owner of such <br />property knowingly pezmits such operation thereon." <br />Sec. 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the i.mmediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to prevent <br />accidents off the public streets and highways and this ordinance shall be in <br />full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />?
