<br />and operating througn the Village of North Olmste3, Ohio, is -60 be
<br />aba,ndoned under an order of the Federal Court, on r'ebruary 28, 1931, and
<br />uu7-iEttEtiS.9 the Village of' Ivorth ULmsted, Uhio, will be completely
<br />without t;ransportation facilities, with the exception of a short distance,
<br />which is entirely ina.dequate for said Villa,re, and,
<br />':JHE-iEAS, the officials of said Village have a±.ternpted in every
<br />possible vray, through negotiations with all transportation companies
<br />which might possib_ly be interested in furnishing such service to said.
<br />Vi7_?_age, and said companies have a11 refused to furnish transportation
<br />seririce unless guaranteed a certain sum of money for doing so, which
<br />is impossible for the Village and its citizens to do, and,
<br />';uHEHEaS, approxinately 150 people must be transported to the City
<br />of Cleveland, where they are daily employed, and a great number of these
<br />people have no means of transportation themselves, and there are no raeans
<br />of inter-Village tranportation, and,
<br />6uH&tEAS, the Nlayor has provided busses for the use of the iā¢lunici-
<br />pality for a period exceeding 30 days without expense to the Village,

<br />That the municipality furnish transportation service to its citizeris,
<br />to and from the Public Squ.are in the City of Cleveland by the establishment
<br />of Municipal Bus line service; that said service shall be provided, main-
<br />tained, and furnisYied for all persons desiring transportation in the Vil-
<br />lage, or out of the Villate to any point over the route oi said Biis service,
<br />and from any point over or on said route, and within the lirnits of North
<br />Olmsted, Uhio.
<br />Said Ml?.znicira.l_ Busses sha11 be operateci over Lorain itoad in said
<br />Vi.lla.ge througr: to the Yublic Square of the City of Cleveland. The rates
<br />of fares for said P.unicipal Bus Service shall be as follows: `Phirty-five
<br />cents from all points between the Coun-ly Line and Barton rtoad to the
<br />Public 5cuare; Triirty cents from all points between Barton tioad and Stop
<br />;136, to the 1'ublic Square; 'i'wenty-five cents from all points between 3top #36
<br />and Sto;o 24 to the %'ublic 6quare;Twanty cents froM all points between 6top #24
<br />and trje easterly liznits of the Village, to the Public 5cuare. From the Yub-
<br />lic aquare the rate of #'are shall be the same as provided for ingoing
<br />+ransportation. 'Phe fare for inter-village travel shall be five cents per
<br />person. .{ rom all points between the County Line anci Stop 1t36 to Kar_ls Corners,
<br />the fare shall be rifteen ce ?ts, and between all points from Stop I;`2l? to the
<br />easterly line of the Village to Kalruns Corne-rs to all points in the Uillage
<br />shall be the same as above provided.
<br />Any funds received frorn the operation of said Nlanicipal Bus sergice
<br />shall be placed in the fund to be lmown as the Y.,unici.pal Bus fund, and
<br />shall be used to maintain and pay for the service hereby established, and
<br />said funds are hereb;,;, appropriated for said purpose.
<br />The iv,unicipal Bus service shall pe established in the Village of
<br />No rth Ulmsted, for a period of 30 days after t he passage of thi,3 ordinance,
<br />with the provision that all power asid autharity to contract and carry into
<br />effect the provisions herein stipulated, may be renewed or corltinued if
