That all dogs having bitten any person or having been in any <br />way exposed to rabies shall be placed in quarantine in a reputable Veteri- <br />nary Hospital in or near th.e Vii_lage of iVorth Ulmsted for a period of time <br />to be designated by the officer charged with the enforcement of this ordi- <br />nance and not to exceed one hundrrd and eighty days. <br />Seetion 2. That all dogs so Flaced in quarantine which are licensed and <br />the owner of sixch animal is known shall be vaccinated by a reputable <br />Veterinarian against rabies by the administration of one ciose oi anti-rabic <br />vaccine ti,rhich has been prepared by any reputable and reliable pharmaceutical <br />company before such dob is released from said quarantine. <br />oection 3,, The fee for quarantine and vaccination as provided in the pre- <br />ceding section shall be as follows: For quarantine, noti to exceed seventy- <br />five cents per day for each day said anirr:al is in ruarantine at said hospital, <br />For Vaccination, not to exceed three (0.00) Dollars, this fee to include <br />the vaccine administered. <br />The fees provided in this section shall be chargeable to the <br />owner of the quarantined animal and shall be paid to the proprietors of said <br />Veterinary Hospital before the animal is released from quarantine. <br />Seetion 4. `I'he fee f'or quarantine of all unlicensed dogs received in <br />quarantine shall be not to exceed seventy-five cents (75¢) per day fb r each <br />day said dog is in quarartine and shall be paid bur the Village of Tvorth <br />Ulmsted, from tne Health Fund, and to the proprietors of such ueterinary <br />Hospital monthly by the I-layot and the ilerk upon receipt of approvea report <br />from the officer charged with the eniorcement of 1,his ordinance. <br />4ection 5. Any money paid in acco rdance i?ritn the provisions of Section 4 <br />hereof shall be paid from appropriation of the Health Fund. <br />Section 6. In the case of any unlicensed dog received in ouarantine, such <br />dog shall be kept in auarantine as provided in Section 1 of this ordinance <br />and shall then be destroyed. <br />Section 7. The proprietor oi' aforesaid Hospital shall upon receipt of such <br />fees, as provided for in Section 3, issue a receipt to the otivner of such <br />dog in addition to a faccination certificate approved by the official charged <br />with the enforcement oi this ordinance. <br />Section S. This ordinance shall in no way conf'lict with any other ordinance <br />heretofore enacted, a.nd shall be deemed an emergency measure necessary for <br />the preservation of tne public health anci safety, and shall take efiect and <br />be in full fo rce from and after its passage and approval by the P1ayor at the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PAO'SED: r ebruary 4, 1930. <br />ATTrST: E. r-i.
