<br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY C:~ NORTH CLMSTED, OHIO
<br />JANUARY 6, 1960 - 8:03 P.M.
<br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council;
<br />Henry Caster, Ralph Christman, Dewey Limpert, A. L. Mangani, ~%illian Nicholas,
<br />Francis J. O'Neill, George Porter.
<br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; James T. 4lilson,
<br />Safety Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; 4Jilliam Gerlerch, Auditor; and
<br />Louise Hall, Clerk.
<br />The Mayor presented again for approval his list of appointments, with
<br />qualifications, for Boards, Commissions acid others and requested that
<br />this matter be taken care of as soon as possible so as not to impede the
<br />progreds of the City of North Olmsted. He requested that a Committee of
<br />Council meet with him directly after this meeting to discuss the
<br />qualifications of his appointees.
<br />A motion was made by Airs. Nicholas and seconded by Air. Limpert that a
<br />Committee be appointed, as requested by the Mayor, to meet immediately after
<br />this meeting to discuss the qualifications of the appointees to Boards
<br />and Commissions as presented. "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Limpert,
<br />Mangani, Nicholas, G'Neill, Porter.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Limpert and seconded by Mr. Porter that a
<br />Special Committee on Appointments consisting of Mangani, O'Neill and
<br />Christman be appointed to meet with the Mayor. "Yeas" Caster, Christ*oan,
<br />Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, C'Neill, Porter.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Mangar_i and seconded by Mr. Porter to repeal
<br />Ordinance No. 2966, An ordinance providing a consultant to the Council,
<br />Clerk of Council and Auditor for the balance of January, 1960, and. the
<br />ordinance be repealed immediately. "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Limpert,
<br />Mangani, Nicholas, O'Neill, Porter.
<br />Ordinance No. 2969 was introduced by N;r. O'Neill. An ordinance amending
<br />Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2968 enacted January 5, 1960, entitled, "An
<br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures
<br />for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, January, February, Alarch, 1960", and
<br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. O'Neill and seconded by N;r.
<br />Porter that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read
<br />immediately the second and third times and put or. its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Christman,
<br />Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, C'Nei.ll, Porter. Thereupon, the ordinance
<br />was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster, Christman, Limpert,
<br />A.angani, Nicholas, O'Neill, Porter.
<br />Qrdinande Noy 2970 was introduced by h`:r. Mangani. An ordinance providing
<br />a consultant to the Council, Clerk of Council and Auditor for the balance
<br />of January, 1960, and fixing compensation therefore. It was moved by
<br />Mr. Mangani, seconded by Mrs. Nicholas, that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and third times
<br />andjput on its. passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as
<br />follows: Caster, Christman, Limpert, Ifangani, Nicholas, O'Neill, Porter.
<br />Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times and put
<br />upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster,
<br />Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O'Neill, Porter.
<br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk at 8:25 P.M.
