<br />The President of Council advised that this meeting was cal1ed to discuss the
<br />possibility of constructing a<.wimm'rng pool,
<br />Mro Caster, Chairman of the finance Committee; reported o!n the pos5ible ways of
<br />f i nanci ng the const ruct i on of a swi mmi ng
<br />Mr. Chri stman r-eported on .the methods of chargi ng admi ss i ons and advi sed that the
<br />Avon Lake Swimming Pool admissions are as follows: Family passes -$35.00 per year;
<br />Individual passes -$10e00 per year; Admissions -$035% children, $075/ adults on
<br />weekdays and $,75/children, $1o00/adults on Sunday5 and Holidayso
<br />Mro Mangani, Chairman of the Municipal Praperties Committee, reported on possible
<br />sites for° a swimming pool and after considerable discussion the best location was
<br />decided to be in the North Olmsted Park adjacent and south of the Community Cabin.
<br />Mre Leonard moved, seconded by Mr. Mangani, that tFre Law Direc.tor be directed to
<br />prepare legislation to take necessary steps to make financial arrangements for
<br />issuance of bonds or special notes in the amount of $160,000o00 for the construction
<br />of a s-wimmi ng pool o "Yeas" Caster, Chri stman, Leonard, Mangani 9 Van Zandt,
<br />Mr. Christman moved, seconded by Mr. V'an Zaindt, that a study be made as to the
<br />possibility offinancing a pool of this nature includirag debt requirement through
<br />the revenue derived from ita "Yeas" Caster•, Christman, Leonard, Mangani, Van Zandt.
<br />Mr. Van Zandt moved, seconded by Mr. Caster°, that the Service Director be directed
<br />to instruct the Engineer to prepare arough preliminary plan for the Park area
<br />including other recr°eational facilities as well as the swimming pool, possible
<br />City Hall and other municipal buildingso "?`eas" Caster, Christman, Leonard, Mangani,
<br />Van Zandt,
<br />Mr. Leonard moved, seconded by Mre Mangani, that tl-ie meeting adjourn at 9:05 P.M.
