<br />Mayor Cnristman reported the, for°mata.on of a e.omms.ttee to be known as Ynuth Advisory
<br />Committee, w2th the purpose of wvrkzng closely with the Police Department in handling
<br />some of the juvenile delinquent problems in the city, the Committee to be for the
<br />guidance of children in t.rauble. Mayor Christman asked approval of the appointment
<br />of the follewing members to the Commit.tee: Rev, He.nry Wyman, Monsignor Korab,
<br />Attorney Clarency Oviatt and Mrs. Pear1 Dar•ay,
<br />Mr. Mangani moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that CounciX approve the formation of a Youth
<br />Advisary Committee, and the appointments tl?.ereto, "Yeas" Caster,'Hadgins, Leonard,
<br />Limpert, Mangani, Van Zandt, West,
<br />At the request of the new City Engineer, Mayar Christman submitted a rough copy of a
<br />new platting ordinance, with the request that it be put into committee for future
<br />action. With the approach of the building sErason, it would be of benefit to the City
<br />to have this passed. A meeting of the City Council Planning Committee was then set
<br />for Monday, March 23rd at 7:30, The Planning Commission will be i.nvited to meet with
<br />the Planning Committee, the Mayor and the City Engineer.
<br />The Mayor re.quested that Council give serious thought to the suggestion put forth by
<br />the Schoel Board Presiaient, William Mohr, at last meeting, that if there is a bond
<br />issue on the swimming pool zn the ta119 the possibility of the city issuing bonds for
<br />an indoor paol at the se.hoal be give.n serious thought.
<br />The Safety-Service. Director reparted the possbility of purchasing a lot on McKenzie
<br />for an access rcad to t.he new High S:.hool i.S befng cherked by the City Engineer.
<br />He reporte3 also that a meeting has been set, for Mar.ch 18th with Engoglia with regard
<br />to the ditch at the rear of the lcaf.s on Teri°ace Drive.
<br />Bids are being accepted for pclice e.ars on March 19 anc3 gas and oil, on March 20.
<br />The Board of Controls awarded bids for slag to F. S, Boone of Westlake and for
<br />asphalt to Plas Asphalt of Elyriaa
<br />Safety-Servica Director Limpert requested consideratiQn be given to rentinqu?iforms

<br />for the. Servire Department at acost of $1, 85 pe.r week per man, or about

<br />has posted a$5,000 clean-up bond, as requested by Gcuncil.
