1% <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETYNG OF THE COUNCIL <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />May 5, 1965 <br />8:16 P.M. <br />Present: Mayor Ralph Christman; Henry Caster, President of Council Pro <br />Tem; Jack Foltz; Virginia Hodgins; James Leonard; Dewey Limpert; A. L. <br />Mangani; John West, <br />Also preaent; J. Bruce Kitchen, Director of Law; W. L. Gerlach, Director <br />of Finanee; Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City <br />Engineer; Margaret West, Clerk. <br />Absent : Pres iderat of Counci 1 Franc is J. 0' Ne il l <br />The minutes of the meetbng of April 20th, 1965 were corrected as follows: <br />On Pager7, third paragraph, cfiange Planning Comnission to Cit Planning <br />Committee. Yn the f ifth paragraph on the same page change 52 8 to 5206. <br />The m nutes were theta approved as corrected. <br />Mayor Christman urged everyone to attend the May 13th banquet to open the <br />Sesqui-Centennial celebration, <br />Mayor Christman reported receiving a request from Westview to enter into a <br />mtitual sid agreement with them. He has discussed it with the Fire Chief <br />and is now passing it on to Council for a recommendation. <br />The Mayor named the following as A committee to work with the architect <br />in the designing of the new library, F. J. 0'Neill, Jack Foltz, A. L. <br />Mangani, Ruth Helt, A. E. Spakowski. Mr. Naylor and Mr. Hills of the County <br />Library will be willing to serve in an advisory capacity. <br />Mayor Christman also announced that the AFS exchange student, Elisabeth <br />Antoniadou, w ill be mayor for the day on Saturday, May Sth. <br />Engineer Z,abas repQrtecl that the plans, specifications and estimate of <br />cost a'rQ complete an Great Northern Boulevard from Lorain to Brookpark , <br />and are on file at City Hall ready for Council's further action, <br />Mr. West reported that the Finance Committee has scheduled meetings at <br />7:30 P.M. on Monday, May lOth, May 17th and May 24th in the Civil Defense <br />Room in order to review pay schedules f or city emgloyees, so that any <br />changes can be completed before preparation of the budget in June. <br />Anyone who would like to be heard is encouraged to attend, and Council <br />is requested to attend to hear what is presented. After these meetings, <br />the Committee will have additional meetings to decide what adjustmenis, if <br />any, should be made, <br />Mr. Foltz announced that the Legislation Committee will meet on May 12th <br />at 8;00 P.M. He requested that Mr. Gundy be notif ied of the meeting and <br />asked to attend. He t,rauld also like the Law Director or his representa- <br />tive to be presen+e <br />Mr. Mangani announced that City Planning Committee will meet on Tuesday, <br />May llth at 7:30 P.M. in the Clerk's Office.
