Mayor Ralph F., Christman!, President of Council Francis J. 0'Nei11; <br />Councilmen Henry Caster; Carroll Eian; Jack Foltz- Virginia Hodgins; <br />Dewey Limpert? Alex Mangani; John West. <br />Also presenta Assistant Director of Law Frank Lord; Director of Finance W. L. <br />Gerlach; Safetv-Service Director Del Limpert; City *ngineer Frank <br />Dutton. <br />Minutes of the meeting of March 21, 1967 were approved as reade <br />Safety-Service Director Del Limpert requested authorization to advertise for <br />bids for purchase of the following: carry-all type station wagon for the <br />Engineering Department; resurf'acing af Burns and PartEr south of Midvale <br />with B-35; 400 tons of T-35 Asphalt; 1500 tons of einders and 1500 tons af <br />salt. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Public Service and Utilitites Committee, reported <br />on their meeting held on March 29thm The Committee recommends that the City <br />go ahead with obtaining easements for culverting 225 feet of ditch between <br />Gessner and Woodmere. <br />It was reported that the Refuse Disposal Feasibility study being made by Mr. <br />Richard Labas has been reviewed in outline form by committee members, and the <br />final report will be presented in about a monthe The City°s application for <br />a federal grant for this study has been turned down, since the report concerns <br />only one communitv and does not involve any ne?a method of refuse disposal. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman ot the Liquor Control Committee, reported thev hlgve <br />no valid reason for denying the request for a D-5 license in the name of <br />Almera Reitz at 5869-73 Canterb,iryo The Clerk was instructed to so advise <br />the Department of Liquor Contral, <br />Mr. Foltz, Chairman of the LegisTative Committee, reported on their meeting <br />held March 29th. At the request of the Safety-Service Director, they held <br />a lenqthy discussion of the commercial rubbish pick-up problem. The committee <br />felt they would like more informaLion as to the percent of commercial esta- <br />blishments in North Olmsted that have their own rubbish pickup, and the charges, <br />if any, made by other cities in the area with comparable population, for commerc:hl <br />pickups. The Law Department has given on opinion that the City can charge <br />commercial establishments for rubbish pickup, or can discontinue rubbish pickup <br />for commercial establishments, <br />The Legislative Commitee recommends and will request that a resolution be prepared <br />requesting the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County to proceed with
