Bruce 1Citchen, Fi.aance Dfrector Wi21ism Gerlach, <br />City Engineer Hichael Karhea, Clerk of Cfluncil Nora Rill. <br />Absent: President Francis J. 0'Neill <br />Meeting was ca2led to order by President Pro Tem Limpert at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Public Hearing af July 26, 1971, were approved as read; <br />minutes of Council Meeting of August 3, 1971 were approved as read. <br />City Engineer Michael Karhan reported the Countq has advert:Lsed for the <br />rebuildiag of Bre.dley Raad culwert. Low bidder wae Willard Ct>a;strtictioa <br />with a bid of $61,438. Engineer's estimate fram the County was $67,000. - <br />$5,562. under. <br />Airs. Aodgins, Chaisman Recreatioa, Public Pazks & Buildiag Committee end <br />Public Ssfety, Health & Welfare Comm.i.ttee, reported the Reczeettion, Pub2ic <br />Parke bBuilding Committee are reviewl.ng the changes reoomsended by tho <br />Parks & RaereatlAn Cama3.asion in ccnnection with the Codified Ord3.vAnct <br />pertainimg ta the Parlcs & Recreaticn Comanission, and will have acticn an <br />same at next meeting. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zoning & Deveiogmeut Committee aad Transporta- <br />tian Ccymm3.ttee, reported the Building, Zoning b Develapmut Committee met <br />August 9, 1971, all members prseent, and discussed the €aliowing: <br />1) proposed 7- 11 St4re at Lorain Road aud Clague Raad which was rajwected <br />by Platnning Camaiss9[on. Committee met with awaer and developer ami. <br />rec ded some changes rmd these were to be worked out with 8ngin"r. <br />Cammtttee has heard nathing more. <br />2} Diveraified Inveators progaeed zezacting between Larain Road ansi Mill Roarl: <br />Committee met with o!wnera to msks sure the Committee had not averlavked <br />anything in the praposal. The Committee unanimously recowsaends ta Council <br />that Chis propos,ed reaoning be rejected. <br />3) re - Shalcer Ssv3.nge & Loan Association proposed building on Great Narthern: <br />Plans were reviewed by Comafttee. <br />Mr. West made a motian that Council approve the parking laqout as presented <br />of Shaker Savings & Loon Associatiaa.
