Also present: Mayor Ralgh Christaan, B~rrvice Director Leary Caster, Lsw Director J. Bruce Ritc~en, Finance Director William Gerlach, City $ngineer Michael Rarhan, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. Absent: Counciloran James Fmkasy. President O'Neill stated ttur first portion of this meeting is a Fublic Heating on the tentative budget for 19T4-. He asked for any coasts re~trding tie budget for 1974f either pro ax con. There being no cAemsnta Fresd+aat 8'Nei11 declared that portion of meeting adjourned and proceeded into Co~cil 1~lseting. Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:02 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of June 19, 1973, were appro~*ed as read. Mayor Christman reported following; 1) in receipt of letter from Marth C?~rtasd Cos~atinitY Coil stating they worse the investigation of the ps~ble fra- tion of a Department for the elderly in North Olmsted; 2) s+ubeittxtg for Council apgroval the ~T~ointment of Mr. Fred Lima to the Recreatietm Ccrrs~ssion, filling the uneapired term of Mr. Joe Roliclc which tersi:atates on 12131/7'3. Council in receipt of resume of Mr. Lima. Service Director Caster reported following: l) Studp of pilot pto~ram oa the recycling is available and in final form for any cotmcit asgr ash a copy; 2) was Questioned by Mr. Boehaer on chipper and pile of b at rear end of park: In nor way ,can the Service Dept. keep up with the lo~1d tha~r are Puking up at this time of the year. Eventually Servicae Wit. will catch up with the pile of brush that is back there. At this tine they are pcki,gg up more brush than can be chipped eight hours aday -six days a week. Chime sxe being removed as fast as they can be made. Mrs. Beringer, Chairmman Environmental Control Committee, reported amattit~g was held on June 26; in at ce Mere Messrs. Lampert and Gandy. Follawiag items were discussed: 1) Delsere llpartment incinera;tats- is still receiving complaints in regard to these particular incinerators. People feel the ~ardin- once recently passed on padlcw~cing is of no use became it is not forced.
