Absent: Councilman Beaty Meeting was called to order by President Lmpert at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of June 15, 1976, were approved sus read; 1liautes of Special Council Meeting of July 6, 1976, were approved as read. In absence of Mayor Christman, Serv~.C~E Airector Caster read following re~art of Mayor Christman to Council: 1) would 1~ks to request that a resolutioc~ be ~rsfted requesting the City of Weatiake to el.~'n the ditch in Westlake that exits from North Olmsted at the rear of the lots on the oast side of Lansing Drive; 2) would like t4 recoas+~xd that wr hire Mr. Yofstsr of 1Goster ~ Antes to update the service garage facility study that was progased by h!u in 1913. If we should find ourselves eligible for funds ucwier the Pv~lic ilbrks Bi11 reeently passed by Congress over the President's veto, we would be able to get ceastruction underway by ninety days ss required in the Bill. Fedaeral regulations have not been formulated yet, but believes wg should be prepared. City Engineer Childs reported: 1) since Last Council Meeting have eatesed into a contract with Belu & Son for resurfacing Butternut Ridge Road and project has been completed; 2) have entered into a contract with Arced Contracting Corp. for sanitary sewer repair project ~5 -that is the repair of 41 breaks in the sewer msia on Vincsnt and LeBern Drives. The work is underway and about 4DX cos~leted at presesit tits and expect co~letion in about three weeks; 3) contractor started to install fence around the Rec Center on Friday of last week and he estimates two to three moire weeks oi~ work on that fence. President Limgert coss~ended Mr. Childs and his Department regarding the letter sent out to residents of ~tternut Ridge Rd. informing them of the sched~xling of the resurfacing. President Lim~+ert received numerous calls from those residents expressing their pleasure in being knowledgeable of what was going on. Finance Director Gerlach reported: 1) n4xt week is the Local Govern~snt Funds Hearing for every city and village in Che County of Cuyahoga, etc., ~+areia they appear before the County Budget Coaimissioa with their tentative budgets asi+d hwpe for a ge~rous allocation of local garve~ent funds for 1977.
