L~'~~ <br />~~ <br />MINUTES OF THE MBBTINC OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF 1~RTH OLMSTED <br />_ JANUARY 6, 197b <br />Present: Councilmen &eaty, Boeharer, Coggin, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wiiasosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph ~iatman, Law Director Michael 6areau, Finance <br />Director Willise Gerlach, Service Director Henry Caster, City <br />Engineer J. Howard Childs, Clerk of Council Nora Hi11. <br />Absent: President of Council Deweq Liarpert. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Pro Tem Saringer at 8:25 P.K. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of Decembex 16, 1975, were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported: 1) received notice that the Reserve Insurance <br />Company cancelled the Insurance on the adeiniatrative officials of the City <br />and there is legislation to be added to the Agenda tonight to readvertise for <br />bids on that; <br />2) it is estimated that the completion date for use of the toboggan slide at <br />Rec Center will be February 1st; <br />3) have submitted to Co~cil the Hearse of Mr. Eugene Barkhurst and Mr. Philip <br />Besucbaap far re-appointareaat to the Parks & Recreation Coae~i.asion for tares <br />expiring 12/31/80; Mr. Kemneth Huntington for re-appoixrtarent to the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals for term expiring 12/31/$0; and rhea. Betty Whittlesey for re- <br />apgointmant to the Departtsent of Hunan Resources Advisory bard far term <br />expiring 12131/80, and would request Council's favorable consideration of ware; <br />4) announced a meeting of the Westshore Council of Governarents on January $, <br />1976, 10:00 A.M., for election of officers for 197b. <br />Mr. Wilaarosky referred to Council Minutes of last regular seating wherein he <br />informed Council that the Legislation Coaaaittee of 1975 had soars pt~aditz; basis; <br />also Mayor's regv~st for Council action on his requests for reaiottra~t. I~Ir. <br />Wilasosky, Chairaran of the Legislation Coaaoittee in 1975, gave folowi repe~^t: <br />1} Mr. Coggin and Mr. Wilasoaky of Legislation Cooea~ittes in 1975 a-et this eveaaing <br />and reviewed requests by the Mayor to reappoint Mr. Kenneth Huntington to the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals; as-d Mr. Eugene Barkhurst and Mr. Philip Beauchaa~ to <br />the Parks & Recreation Coasnisaion, and there are no objections. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved that Council approve the reappointarent of Mr. Kenneth <br />Huntington to the Board of Zoning Appeals for tare ending 12;31/80, seconded <br />by Mr. Go881n. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Coggin, Saringer, Sharpe, <br />Went, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Wilaarosky moved that Council approve the reappointarents of Mr. Eugene <br />Barkhurat and Mr. Philip Beauchamp to the Parks & Recreation Comeission for <br />terms ending 12/31!80, seconded by Mr. Coggin. Affirmative vote: Beaty, <br />Boeharer, Coggin, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilaarosky. Motion carried. <br />Z) reviewed Ord. No. 7S-24b and Oxd.
