<br />and Section 3 of Ordinance ~i~ 235?, pissed August 21, 1956, and all ether
<br />ordinances or parts of ordinances, secti®n$ or parts of sectio~a pertain-
<br />ing tm the evffipensation of employees named herein and which are conflict-
<br />ing with the previsions of this ordinance are hereby repealed,
<br />This ordinance i s hereby declared to be an emergency measure,
<br />the emergency-being that it is necessary for the immediate preservation
<br />of public health, peace, safety and welfare, and to immediately provide
<br />adequate compensation for appointed officials and employees holding the
<br />respective positions mentioned herein.
