That on and after the 16th day of April, <br />1951 the compensation of the regular and extra bus drivers of tae <br />North Glu.sted ~unici;:al Bus Line shall be as follows: <br />~.ny person employed as a bus driver, who has nay. no <br />previous experience: or not sufficient previous experience, shall <br />serve as an apprentice for a period of one year. During the <br />first three months of said apprentice period he shall receive <br />;1.45 per hour; daring the second three months of said apprentice <br />period he shall receive X1.50 per hour; during tree newt three <br />months of said apprentice period he shall receive X1.55 per hour; <br />and during the last three months of said apprentice Period he <br />shall receive X1.60 per hour; and thereafter he shall rece#.ve <br />X1.6 5 per hour. All bus drivers who have served their apprentice <br />period shall receive $~~1.65 per hour. <br />Section 2. On and after April 16, 1951, each <br />regular or extra bus driver shall receive the following vacation; <br />He shall be entitled to one week's vacation with pay in the year <br />following one year of continuous service; a weeks vacation to <br />consist of six days, at the rate of eight hours per day. At the <br />expiration of two years and thereafter, he shall be allowed two <br />~aveeks annual vacation nTith pay at the rate cf eight hours per day. <br />six days per week. kfter the completion of five years of con- <br />tinuous service, and for each year thereafter, up to and including <br />eleven years of continuous service, he shall be allowed one <br />additional days s pay at the above rate Ater annum far such service, <br />so that the maximum number of days for vacation Yvith pay, regard- <br />less cf service shall not exceed eighteen clays at the hourly rate <br />of eight hours per day. <br />Section 3. hll ordinances or parts of ordinances contrary <br />to and inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed in so <br />far as they conflict with this ordinance. <br />Section 4. This ordinance is hereby dec~red to be a.n <br />emergency measure, the emergency being that it is necessary for <br />the im~uediate preservation of public health, peace safety and wa~1- <br />farce, and to immediately provide adequate compensation for the <br />operators of the Municipal Busses. <br />passed: April 3rd, 1951. <br />Attest: <br />E. ~.
