Prepare and furnish complet8 engineering data for <br />the proposed improvement including general and detailed <br />plans, drawings, specifications, and detailed estimates <br />of cost, satisfactory to the Director of Public Works <br />of the City and the Department of Health of Ohio; such <br />final engineering cl~ta, detailed designs, drawings, <br />plans, specifications, and estimates of cost shall be <br />in such form as suitable and necessary to enable <br />manufacturers and con~ractors to submit definite bids for <br />equipment and for construction in connection with the <br />improvement, and shall be prepared and furnished in such <br />sequence and in such manner as may be necessary for the <br />letting of contracts and for the construction of the <br />improvement; <br /> <br />2. Review with the Director of Public Works the complete <br />preliminaz? design, data, plans, drawings and specifications <br />and in the event that modifications are suggested by the <br />Director of public Works, incorporate such modifications <br />as may be necessary in the revised design, plans, drawings <br />and specifications; <br /> <br />$. Prepare a report sufficiently complete for record, <br />reference and information purposes, stumuarizing the <br />engineering data, design, plans, drawings, specifications <br />and detailed cost estimates, for the complete in~rovement; <br /> <br />4. Prepare forms for legal advertisements, instructions <br />to bidders, bonds, proposals and construction and equipment <br />contracts, subject to the approval of the Director of <br />Public Works of the City. <br /> <br />5. To render expert advice and service in connection with <br />the receiving, tabulation and analysis of bids, assistance <br />to the City in the proper awarding and letting of contracts, <br />preparation of such final detailed working drawings and <br />specifications as are required to correlate the entire <br />construction program, consultation and general advice in <br />carrying the project through to successful completion and <br />operation, and supervising and directing the placing of <br />the water works in operation, and inspect and approve it <br />upon completion; <br /> <br />6. Compute or otherwise ascertain the acceptable quantities <br />of work performed or materials furnished by cnntractors <br />under their respective contracts, and certify contracts and <br />estimates as to both the acceptibility and quantities of <br />work and materials furnished; <br /> <br />?. Furnish general supervision of~the work of the contract¢ <br />including line and grade surveys as the construction <br />progresses, interpret the plans and specifications and <br />safeguard the City against defects and deficiencies on the <br />part of the contractors; <br /> <br />8. Furnish original plans and typewritten specifications <br />and three (3) copies thereof and furnish additional copies <br />to the City or Contractor at net cost. Original doctm~enta <br />survey notes and tracings are and shall be the property of <br />the City; and the ~ngineers shall revise the plans to <br />conform with the cofistruction as act~.lly completed; <br /> <br />9. ~ieet with the City or its representatives ~hen requestec <br />or necessary for consultation or conferences; <br /> <br />10. Supervise the work of inspection bureaus and labor~tori~ <br />in the inspection and tests of materials and equipment ente~ <br />lng into the construction of the st~cture, and receive snd <br /> <br /> <br />
