Prepare necessary plans and applications for permits <br />for the submission to and approval of local, state and <br />Federal authorities, as may be required - - the cost of <br />such permits to be paid by the City, but the cost of <br />preparing such plans and applications shall be borne by <br />the Engineers; <br /> <br />12. Make acceptance tests of all pu~ping equipment and <br />tests for acceptability of all other equipment incorporated <br />in the work';' <br /> <br />13. Furnish a resident engineer and necessary inspectors <br />during the construction of said water works improvements. <br />The resident engineer shall at all times be on the site of <br />the work an5 his duties shall be tosupervise constantly <br />said construction, make out reports for the main office of <br />the Engineers, to confer with the main office of the <br />Engineers, and to see that the said contractors are carry- <br />ing out the work in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions. The Engineers shall be responsible for the <br />inspection of the materials used in connection with the <br />work and shall acquaint the City with the progress of the <br />work, and make out such other reports as may be required <br />by the City. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II: The City agrees: <br /> <br />1. To furnish the Engineers with a complete and accurate <br />survey of the site of the improvement, giving the grades <br />and lines of streets, pavements, and boundaries, ri~hts- <br />of-way or other surveys; <br /> <br />2. To pay for test borings,sub-surface explorations, or <br />other investigations required for the determination of <br />fotmdation conditions; <br /> <br />3. That any legal services required on behalf o£ the City <br />during the progress of the work shall be furnished by the <br />City; <br /> <br />4. That it will assist the Engineers throughout the work <br />by placing at their disposal, in suitable form, all avail- <br />able pertinent information that the City may have in its <br />possession. <br /> <br /> .Engineers compensation for such <br />5.
