<br /> f yy <br /> ~S <br /> -3- <br /> the Public Square as shall be found best to satisfy the convenience of passengers. <br /> '.ti'estbound coaches shall accept as passengers in the City of Cleveland only persons <br /> ti•~nose destination is in the City of Lakewood; shall stop to accept passengers at <br /> such points ea6 of the Public Square as shall be found best to satisfy the public <br /> convenience, at the Public Sauare, and shall make no other stops to accept passen- <br /> gers between the Public Square and ["lest 11"jth Street; and shall make no other <br /> stops between the Public Square and the eastern limits of the City of Lakewood <br /> except as required by traffic conditions and obedience to traffic regulations. <br /> In the City of Lakewood both eastbound and westbound coaches. shall stop <br /> at such points on their routes to receive or discharge passengers as may be fixed <br /> by the Idayor. In fixing such stops the attempt shall be made so to locate them <br /> as best to further the operation of rapid or express service. No stop shall be <br /> fixed less than five hundred (500) feet distant from an adjoining one. <br /> SECTION 4: All motor coaches used in furnishing service upon this line shall have <br /> been produced by a recognized manufacturer of motor buses. P;o coach shall be used <br /> upon it which has a gross length at its longest point of more than 420 inches, or <br /> a gross width at its vridest point oP more than 96 inches, or xfi ich weighs (exclu- <br /> sive of load) more than 19,000 pounds. No coach shall be used upon this line <br /> which was manufactured prior to 1938 or which is or has been ovmed or used by <br /> anyone other than the manufacturer and the Company. No coaoh shall be used upon <br /> this line unless it is constructed and maintained with the most modern type of <br /> ventilating system for the prevention of odors and fumes of gasoline and oil or <br /> caused by the motor or its exhaust. Ido coach shall be used upon this line <br /> unless it is constructed so as to prevent danger from fire, to assure the safety <br /> of passengers in the event of accident or collision and with at least tyro means <br /> of exit so located as to be readily available and that one is in the forward <br /> half and the other in the rear half of the coach. All coaches shall be vrell <br /> lighted, maintained in a safe, dependable and sanitary condition, properly <br /> ventilated and, from October 15th to April 15th, whenever the temperature outside <br /> is less than 60 degrees Fahrenheit, shall be heated to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. <br /> SECTION 5: The rate of fare for a passenger whose entire ride is within the <br /> City of Lakewood and wholly upon this line or wholly upon any other motor coach <br /> line operated by the Company and within said city shall be five cents (5~) cash. <br /> The rate of fare for a passenger-whose entire ride is within the City <br /> of Lakewood and partly upon this line and partly upon any streetcar or other motor <br /> coach line operated by the Company shall be five cents t5¢) cash, plus one cent <br /> (1;L) transfer fee. <br /> The rate of fare for a passenger whose ride is to or from a point in the <br /> City of La'sevrood from or to a point in the City of Cleveland and is wholly upon <br /> this line shall be fifteen cents (15~) cash, or a coach ticket, which tickets <br /> shall be sold at not to exceed the rate of four tickets for fifty cents (50~) or <br /> a street car ticket plus five cents (5¢) in cash. <br /> The rate of fare for a passenger whose ride is to or from a point in <br /> the City of Lakewood from or to a point in the City of Cleveland and partly upon <br /> this line and partly upon any streetcar or other motor coach line operated by the <br /> Company except express motor coach lines, or other r..otor coach lines if the service <br /> vrould then be subject to the jurisdiction o£ the Public ?'tilities Conurission, shall <br /> be the fare as stated in the preceding paragraph plus one cent (1~) transfer fee. <br /> Children under six ?rears of age accompanied by an adult paying any fare <br /> as above specified shall be carried free. Children who are permitted under the <br /> terms of any franchise or agreement with the City of Lalcevrood or the City of Cleve- <br /> land to ride on any express motor coach line operated by the Company Area or at a <br /> lesser fare than above stated, either at particular times or under particular <br /> <br />
