Tyler ~FDgHGENCY ORDInaNCE authorizLug the Mayor on behalf of the City of L~kewood to enter into a contract with The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for Electric Street Lighting in the City of Lake,rood. V~EP~EAS, on July 21, 1947, Resolution No. 3325 was adopted by the Council of the City of Lakewood, wherein authority was given to the f~yor, as Director of Public Works, to advertise for bids for furnishing the City of Lakewood with street lights and current thereto, and, ~tEREAS, such advertisement was inserted in the Suburban N~s August 1st and 8th 1947; bids were received at 12:00 o'clock noon Monday, August 18th 1947; and the bid of The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company was approved and the contract awarded accordingly; and B.~qEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency in that the proposed contract pursuant to said award is to become effective October l, 1947 and in that it provides for the public health, welfare and safety and the usual daily operation of a Municipal Department, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL ~ THE CITI' OF LAK~;~0OD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Nayor be, and he is hereby, on behalf of the City of Lakewood authorized to enter into a contract with The Cleveland Electric Illumin- ating Company in form substantially as follows: "This agreement entere~ into this ~ day of September, 1947 by and between the City of Lake~ood, an Ohio Municipal Corporation by its l~yor thereunto duly authorized by Ordinance No. of the Council of said City adopted on the day of September, 1947 as Party of the First Part and The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, the contractor as Party of th~ Section Part, V~ITNESSETH; That the parties hereto have agreed and by these presents do mutually agree as follows: 1. The Second Party agrees to supply and maintain and the First Party agrees to pay for Electric Street Lighting in said 0ity of Lake~od for a period of five (5) years from and after 12:00 o'clock noon of October 1,1947 and ending at 12:00 o'clock noon of~October l, 1952 in accordance with the Notice to Bidders dated June 16, 1947, the specifications for Electric Street Lighting dated June ~6, 1947 and the Lamp Location Plat which are on file in the office of the l~yor, ex officio, Director of Public Works of the City of Lakewood, a copy of which Notice, specifications and Plat are attached hereto and made a part hereof. The price for said lamps shall be as follows: Lamp Size Rated in Candle Power and/or Lumens 1500 C. P. 1000 C. P. 1000 C. P. 600 C. P. 600 C. p.
