<br /> The weight of vehicle and load imposed upon the road surface by
<br />arff two successive axles o~ a single vehicle or of a single vehicle
<br />in a combination of vehicles, shall not exceed, for pne~atic tires,
<br />when spaced less thannine feet apart, thirty-two thousand pounds,
<br />nor when spaced nine feet or more apart shall not exceed thirty-s~x
<br />thousand pounds; nor shall the ~eight of vehicle and load imposed upon
<br />the road surface by any vehicle or combination of vehicles having three
<br />a~es exceed, for pneumatic tires, forty-eight thous~r~d pounds, or hav-
<br />ing four axles exceed, for pneumatic tires, sixty-three thousand pou~ls
<br />or having five or more axles, exceed, for pneumatic tires seventy-eight
<br />thovsand pounds; ncr shall such weight of vehicle and load exceed for
<br />solid t~res, eighty per cent of the permissible weight of vehicle and
<br />load as provided for pneumatic tires.'
