- 3 - <br /> <br /> 7e The Architects willoendeavor to guard the City against defects and <br />deficiencies in the work of contractors, but does not guarantee the performance <br />of their contracts, The Supervision of an Architect is to be distinguished from <br />the continuouS personal Superintendence to be obtained by the employment of a <br />c lerk-of-the-works. <br /> <br /> When authorized by the Cit~, a clerk-of-the-works acceptable to both <br />City and Architects shall be a~aged by the Architects at a salary satisfactory <br />to the City and which shall be paid by the City, upon presentation of the Arch- <br />itects' monthly statemente.e <br /> <br /> Section 20 This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for <br />the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all ~embere elected to Counoil, it shall take effect and be <br />in fcrce immediately upon its adoption and approval by the ~or. <br /> <br />Adopted: _ April 3, 1950 <br /> <br />Wm.
