ORDINANCE NO. 1-52 BY Mr. Gottermeyer AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE, which shall be known and referred to as the "Adopting Ordinance", to approve, adopt, and declare in force ~he Codified OrdinaDc~s of the City of Lakewood., Ohio, 1952. as pre- pared by Banks-Baldwin Law Publishing Company in cooperation with the Director of Law pursuant to the Agreement authorized by Ordi- nace No. $828, and comprising a revision, rearrangement, compilation and codification of the general and permanent ordinances of the City of Lakewoo~; to provide for the printing and publication in book form, for certification as to correctness by the President of Council, the Clerk of Council and the Mayor, and for the effective date there- of; to provide for the amending and supplementing thereof; to provide for the repeal of certain ordinances and all other ordinances incon- sistent herewith and therewith saving those ordinances which are specifically reserved and excepted even though inconsistent; and to authorize and direct the giving of public notice. WHEREAS, this "Adopting Ordinance" is declared to be an emer- gency ordinance, hereby defined and for the reasons: that Banks- BaldWin Law Publishing Company in cooperation with the Director of Law has completed the revision, rearrangement, compilation and codi- fication of the general and permanent ordinances in manuscript form pursuant to the Agreement authorized by Ordinance No. $828; that in the interest of'certainty with respect to ordinance provisions and to comply with law this Council deems it necessary to forthwith publish such revision, rearrangement, compilation and codification in book form as The. C0~ifi~d OrdiDances.o~. th?..C~ty, of. Lakewoo~ Ohio. 1952~ and that it provides for the public health, safety and welfare and forthe usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD. STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. REVISION AND CODIFICATION. The general amdpsrm~- nent ordinances of the City of Lakewood are revised, rearranged, c,~pil~d, renumbered as to sections and codified in six component
