Section 8?. (a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with side cowl or fender <br />lamps which shall emit a white or amber light without glare. <br /> <br /> (b) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with lamps on each side thereof which <br />shall emit a white or amber light without glare. <br /> <br /> (c) Any motor vehicle may be equippedwith back-up lamps either separately <br />or in combination with another lamp; except that no such back-up lamps shall be con- <br />tinuously lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward motion. <br /> <br /> Section 90, (a) At all times mentioned in Section 79 at least two lighted <br />lamps shall be displayed, one near each side ef the front of every motor vehicle and <br />trackless trolley except when such vehicle or trackless trolley is parked subject to <br />the regulations governing lights on parked vehicles and trackless trolleyso <br /> <br /> (b) The design and use of such' lamps shall be in accordance with the regula- <br />tions, if any, prescribed by the Director of Highways of the State of Ohioa <br /> <br /> Section 91. (a) V~henever a motor vehicle is being operated on a street or <br />shoulder adjacent thereto during the times specified in Section ?9, the driver shall <br />use a distribution of light, or composite beam, directed high enough and of suffi- <br />cient intensity to reveal persons, vehicle, and substantial objects at a safe dis- <br />tance in advance of the vehicle subject to the following requirements and li~Litations: <br /> <br /> (b) ¥~henever the driver of a vehicle approaches an oncoming vehicle such <br />driver shall use a distribution of light or composite beam so aimed that the glaring <br />rays are not projected into theeyes of the oncoming driver. <br /> <br /> Section 92. Ahy motor vehicle may be operated under the conditions specified <br />in Section ?9 when equipped with two lighted lamps ~ponthe front thereof capable of <br />revealing persons and substantial objects seventy-five feet ahead in lieu of lamps <br />required in Section 90, provided however, that it shall no~ be operated at a speed <br />in excess of twenty miles per hour, <br /> <br /> Section 93. (a) Whenever a motor vehicle equipped with head lamps as herein <br />required is also equipped with any auxiliary lamps or a spot lmnp or any other lamp <br />on the front thereof projecting a beam of an intensity greater than three hundred <br />candle power, not more than a-~&otalof five of any such lamps on the front of a <br />vehicle shall be lighted at any one time when upon a street. <br /> <br /> (b) Any lighted lamp or illuminating device upon a motor vehicle other than <br />head lamps, spot lamps, signal lamps er auxiliary driving lamps which projects a beam <br />of light of an intensity greater than three hundred candle power shall be so directed <br />that no part of the beam~ill strike the level of the street on which the vehicle <br />stands at a distance of more than seventy-five feet from the vehicle. <br /> <br /> (c) No person shall drive or move any vehicle or equipment upon any street <br />with any lamp or device thereon displaying a red light mounted on the front thereof. <br />This paragraph shall not apply to emergency vehicles, school busses, traffic line <br />sbripers~ snow plows and similar equipment op~=ated by the Department of Highways of <br />the State cf Ohio or the City of Lakewood, <br /> <br /> (d) Flashing lights are prohibited on motor vehicles, except as a means for <br />indicating a right or left turn or as stop lights. This paragraph shall not apply <br />to ?mergency vehicles, school busses~ traffic line stripers, snow plows and similar <br />~o~umpme~t operated by the Department cf Highways of the State of Ohio, or the City <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 9~. No person shall use uponany motor vehicle, trailer or semi- <br />trailer any lamps mentioned in this ordinance unless said .l~ps are equipped, <br />mounted and adjusted as to focus and aim in accordance with the regulations which may <br />be prescribed by the Director of Highways of the State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 95° (a) Brake Equipment Required. <br />1. Every trackless trolley and motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle~ when operated <br />upon a street shall be equipped with brakes adequate to control the movement of and <br />to stop and hold such trackless trolley or motor vehicl% under the conditions de- <br /> <br /> <br />
