SECTION 2. <br />The CITY agrees tc pay the ENGINEER for Basic Engineering Ser- <br />vices, described m~der Article II, Sections 1 through 8 incl., <br />as fellows: <br /> <br />(a) For services rendered as described mmder Article II, Sec- <br />tions 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, a sam equal to Fomr and Three Quarter <br />Percent (4-3/4%) of the ENGINEER,S estimate of the total "Con- <br />structicn <br /> <br /> Partial payments shall be made te the ENGINEER, as the work pfc- <br /> gresses, in the amoamt of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,O00.00~ <br />'--em or before the 20~h day of the month following the end of <br /> each three month period followimg the execution of this agree- <br /> ment, except.however, that the sam total ef monies se paid shall <br /> not exceed $$O,000.OG mm~il the complete plans, specifications <br /> and cost estimates have been submitted and approved. The <br /> ENGINEER shall submit reports for each three month period, to <br /> dmly authorized representatives of the CITY in order that they <br /> may at all times be informed regarding the progress made by the <br /> ENGINEER. <br /> <br />Upon submission a~d approval of the completed plans, specifi- <br />cations and cost estimates, the remaining balance of payments <br />m~der this section shall be due and payable. <br /> <br />(b) For services rendered as described umder ArtiCle II, Sec- <br />tiens 2 & 7, the ENGINEER shall be paid ina mounts equal te <br />Gne and One ~marter Percent (1-1/4%) cf payments made te the <br />Contractor er Contractors as the construction progresses. <br />Payments te the ENGINEER shall be due and payable within ten <br />(lO) days from the time such payments are made tc the Contractor. <br /> <br />(c) The final total fee for -Basic Engineering Service" shall <br />be~subjec~ to adjustment as.follows: <br /> <br /> (1) The total fee for all units for which contracts are <br />awarded amd ecmstruction is completed shall be adjusted to Six <br />Percent ($%)of the "Construction Cost" as defined umder Article <br />III, Section 1. <br /> <br /> (2) The total fee for all units for which contracts are not <br />awarded, for any reason, within a period of Six Nonths <br />from the ~ate of completion and approval of plans, shall be as <br />designated under Article III, Section 2 (a). <br /> <br /> (3) The sam of One Thousand Dollars ($1,O0©.O0), previously <br />paid to the late Harry ¢. Gallimere, ~.b.a. The F. A. Pease <br />Engineering Co., as compensation for ProfessiOnal Engineering <br />Services remdered in connection with the "Preliminary Report" <br />mentioned im Article I, Section l, ef this agreement, shall be <br />deducted from the final payment made to the ENGINEER for ser- <br />vices stipulated umder Article II, ef this agreement. <br /> <br />~TZCLE IV -.ADDITION~ SERVICE~ <br /> <br />The ENGINEER agrees to fmr~ish and perform additional services, <br />when req,mired under the conditions and for the compensation <br />specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />~ECT~ON 1. . <br /> . · <br />Furnish Resmdent Personal Supervision" of construction mnclud- <br />ing lineamd grade s~veys as the construction progresses, to- <br />gether with related services as may be required at actual payroll <br />cost to theENGINEER plus Forty Percent (40%) for taxes, vaca- <br />tions, etc., plus field and cut cf office expense at nos cost, <br /> <br /> <br />
