SECTION 2. The CITY agrees tc pay the ENGINEER for Basic Engineering Ser- vices, described m~der Article II, Sections 1 through 8 incl., as fellows: (a) For services rendered as described mmder Article II, Sec- tions 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, a sam equal to Fomr and Three Quarter Percent (4-3/4%) of the ENGINEER,S estimate of the total "Con- structicn Partial payments shall be made te the ENGINEER, as the work pfc- gresses, in the amoamt of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,O00.00~ '--em or before the 20~h day of the month following the end of each three month period followimg the execution of this agree- ment, except.however, that the sam total ef monies se paid shall not exceed $$O,000.OG mm~il the complete plans, specifications and cost estimates have been submitted and approved. The ENGINEER shall submit reports for each three month period, to dmly authorized representatives of the CITY in order that they may at all times be informed regarding the progress made by the ENGINEER. Upon submission a~d approval of the completed plans, specifi- cations and cost estimates, the remaining balance of payments m~der this section shall be due and payable. (b) For services rendered as described umder ArtiCle II, Sec- tiens 2 & 7, the ENGINEER shall be paid ina mounts equal te Gne and One ~marter Percent (1-1/4%) cf payments made te the Contractor er Contractors as the construction progresses. Payments te the ENGINEER shall be due and payable within ten (lO) days from the time such payments are made tc the Contractor. (c) The final total fee for -Basic Engineering Service" shall be~subjec~ to adjustment as.follows: (1) The total fee for all units for which contracts are awarded amd ecmstruction is completed shall be adjusted to Six Percent ($%)of the "Construction Cost" as defined umder Article III, Section 1. (2) The total fee for all units for which contracts are not awarded, for any reason, within a period of Six Nonths from the ~ate of completion and approval of plans, shall be as designated under Article III, Section 2 (a). (3) The sam of One Thousand Dollars ($1,O0©.O0), previously paid to the late Harry ¢. Gallimere, ~.b.a. The F. A.
