-16- <br /> <br />329.140 Family Wading Pools. <br /> <br />Portable Wading Pools. <br />(a) Material. The water containing surface of a <br />portable type wading pool shall be impervious and <br />provide a tight tank with smooth and easily <br />cleaned surface. <br />(b) Water Supply. Water for the pool shall be from <br />the city water supply. <br />(c) Cleanliness of Pool and Environs. Ail family <br />wading pools shall be drained after each day of <br />use and at all times when not in use. Before <br />refilling the pool, it shall be thoroughly <br />cleansed and all sediment and other foreign <br />matter removed. <br /> <br />Permanent Wading Pools. <br />(a) Materials. The water containing surface of a <br />permanent wading pool shall be light in color, <br />impervious and provide a tight tank with smooth <br />and easily cleaned surfaces. Sand or dirt bottoms <br />are prohil~ted. <br />(b) Water Supply and Outlets. Each permanent <br />wading pool shall be provided with a trapped <br />outlet to the storm drain. Water fQr the pool <br />shall be from the city water supply. <br />(c) Walks. Bach pool shall ~e provided with a <br />hard surfaced walk at least four (4) feet in <br />width completely surrounding the pool and drained <br />away from the pool, except where a fence or wall <br />is placed closer to the pool than four (4) feet, <br />the width of the walk may be proportionately <br />reduced. <br />(d) Cleanliness of Pool and Environs. Ail family <br />wading pools shall be drained after each day of <br />use and at all times when not in use. Before re- <br />filling, the pool shall be thoroughly cleansed and <br />all sediment and other foreign matter removed. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for thereasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and present Sections 329.01, <br />329.02 and 329.021 of the Sanitary Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of Lakewood, shall be and they are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 6, 1959 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
