On and after the date on which Ordinance 2276 go~a into <br />effect, no bathing pool or public beach shall be used or <br />maintained unless all of the following requirements are <br />Complied withl <br /> <br />(1) Every bathin~ pool shall be completely emptied and <br />thoroughly cleaned at least once in every seven (7) <br />days, and in addition thereto shall be completely <br />emptied and thoroughly cleaned ~enever the number of in- <br />testinal bacteria in a cubic centimeter of the water in <br />such pool shall exceed ten (10) as determined by standard <br />tests off the Bureau of Laboratories. <br /> <br />(2) There shall be posted at all times in a conspicuous <br />place adjacent to such pool, a placard stating the number <br />of gallons of water in such pool, and there shall be kept <br />a record of the number of bathers using such pooll and <br />whe~ever and as often as the number o£ bathers who have <br />used the pool since the last cleaning or disinfecting <br />thereof shall exceed one (1) for every twenty-five (25) <br />§allons of water in such pool, such pool shall be emptied <br />or the water therein shall be disinfected by the distribu- <br />tion throughout such pool of such disinfectant in such <br />quantity as the official charged with the enforcement <br />of this code shall approve. <br /> <br />(3) Every person shall cleanse himself thoroughly with <br />soap and water immediately before enterin~ any bathing <br />pool and shall use the shower baths provided in such way <br />that no soap or dirt shall be carried into the pool. <br /> <br />(4) No bathing suit, dress, stockings, cap or other arti- <br />cles of clothing or any towel, cloth, or bath brush which <br />has been used by any person at any bathing pool or public <br />bathin§ beach shall be rented to or permitted to be used <br />by any other person until after, such articles shall have <br />been thoroughly cleaned in boiling water. <br /> <br />(5) N6 bathing pool or public bathin~ beach shall be used <br />unless there is present durin~ all the time that such <br />pool or beach is open for use at least one (1) person <br />skilled in swimming and diving and in administration of ~ <br />first aid to persons overcome in the water. <br /> <br />329.021 Bathin§ Pools at Private Residences. <br /> <br />Notwithstanding the provisions of item (1) of Section <br />329.02 of the Sanitary Code of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of Laket~od, a bathing pool may be used or main- <br />tained on the premises of a sin§le family residence pro- <br />vided that: <br /> <br />(1) It is used only by the family of the o~mer of such <br />residence and his private ~uests. <br /> <br />(2) That any such pool Shall be enclosed by a chain link <br />fence not less than six nor more than seven feet high,' <br />not nearer than fifteen feet to the edge of the pool, and <br />so constructed as not to permit access to such pool <br />cept by means of a gate which shall be o£ self-closing <br />and sel£- latching construction. <br /> <br /> <br />
