Laborers - Class A 2.35 <br /> Laborers - Class B 2.00 <br />Group IX <br /> Charwomen 1o85 <br /> Laborers - Class C 1o60 <br /> <br /> Section 2. An employee holding a position in any of the <br /> <br />above classifications may from time ~o time beassigned to <br />work in-a higher classification and SuCh ~mptoyee shall re- <br />ceive for such temporary work, the compensation provided here- <br />in for such higher classification. Such additional compensation <br />Shall not be paid to Building Maintenance Men, whose hourly <br />rate includes performance of all work assigned. <br /> <br /> Section 3~ Whenever the terms "Class A", "Class B" <br />and"Class C" are used in this ordinance, such classifications <br />shall be determined by the appointing authority on the basis <br />of experience and performance° <br /> <br /> Section 4. The Director of Public Works may appoint such <br />additional hourly employees in the several divisions as may be <br />required from time to time on a temporary basis, at the rate <br />of compensation fixed herein for said classification. Provided, <br />however, that such temporary employees provided for herein, <br />shall be classed as temporary and shall~.not be eligible for <br />the benefits provided in Sections 143.01~to~43.08, both in- <br />clusive, of the Codified Ordinances, for ~uil time permanent <br />hourly employees. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Ail compensation provided for herein shall be <br />paid in equal semi-monthly installments or in equal install- <br />ment~S every two weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 6o That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 33-64 adopted March 16, 1964, and <br />all other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent here- <br />with, shall be and are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved:. ,~ ~ i~5 ,, <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />- 2 - <br /> <br /> <br />
