<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />officials shall be sought to insure that all essential <br />ordinance coverage is adequately provided for and that <br />obsolete provisions will be modified accordingly or <br />deleted. Provisions shall be examined for validity, <br />practicality and usefulness in the light of present <br />conditions. <br /> <br />Submit to the Director of Law suggestions as to <br />deletions, modifications or additions to the current <br />ordinance material. Model or sample ordinanceso£ other <br />municipalities will be submitted so that coverage may <br />be compared and adequately provided for. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Edit all ordinance material by correcting all spelling <br />capitalization, grammatical and typographical errors, <br />but the sense, meaning or legal effect shall not be <br />altered except upon approval. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Classify and arrange the ordinance material into com- <br />ponent codes (called parts), titles, chapters and <br />sections, with suggested code names as follows: <br />Administrative; Traffic; General Offenses; Health and <br />Sanitation; Business Regulation; Streets and PUblic <br />Services; Planning and Zoning; Building; and Fire <br />Prevention. A part containing the Charter shall preface <br />the codes. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Prepare proper and descriptive headings for each title, <br />chapter and section. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />Renumber and rearrange all material to conform with the <br />decimal numbering system and code classification. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Substitute proper code numbers for references within <br />present ordinances, and substitute the words "this code, <br />chapter or section" for "this ordinance" whenever the <br />sense so requires. <br /> <br />lO. <br /> <br />Prepare a legislative history for each section noting the <br />ordinance number and date of passage. Sections without <br />histories shall contain new matter which will be ordained <br />by the adopting ordinance which enacts the Codified <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />component code and <br /> <br />Prepare a table of contents for each <br />a chapter analysis for each chapter. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />Prepare a comparative section table indicating the <br />disposition of ordinances into the Codified Ordinances <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Prepare cross references for each chapter to applicable <br />State statutes, and other sections, chapter or codes of <br />the Codified Ordinances. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />comprehensive index to the entire <br />including references to the City <br /> <br />Prepare one general <br />Codified Ordinances, <br />Charter. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />If desired, assist the Law and Police Departments in <br />establishing a Traffic Control Map to reflect the City's <br />current traffic and parking conditions. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />Print 225 sets of the Codified Ordinances. The format, <br />page and type s~ze, and headings shall be similar to that <br />of the Codified Ordinances of Westlake, Ohio, a page· of <br />which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" <br /> <br />17 <br />
