As soon as the established grade and the <br />plans and specifications have been approved by the <br />city engineer and upon deposit of the aforesaid funds <br />with the Finance Department, the o~ner may proceed with <br />construction. <br /> <br /> (d) The owner shall enter into a contract or contracts <br />with a contractor for the following listed improvements; <br /> <br />1. Contract for clearing, grubbing and <br /> grading the streets. <br /> <br />Contract for storm and sanitary sewers, <br />water main, all sewer and water curb <br />connections and appurtenances. <br /> <br />The contractor shall provide evidence that he is carry- <br />ing bodily liability insurance insuring himself and <br />the city in the amount of $100,000 - $300,000 and <br />property damage liability in the amount of $100,000. <br />(e) The owner shall present to the city engineer an <br />estimate of the cost for sub-grading and constructing a <br />per~anent pavement in accordance with city ordinances, <br />shaping and surfacing and seeding of all disturbed areas. <br />A surety bond, or surety by a corporate surety in such <br />sum as may be approved by the law director, in the <br />amount of one hundred percent (100%) of said'estimate <br />shall be given the city guaranteeing that all the <br />required work will be completed during the year follow- <br />ing the completion of all underground construction <br />which date of completion of the permanent pavement <br />shall not be later than Dece~er 1 of the year in which <br />work is started. <br /> <br />(f) The owner shall present evidence of title; good <br />in himself, as to areas intended for street purposes, <br />and free and clear of all encumbrancas. <br /> <br />(g) The building inspector is authorized to issue <br />building permits only after construction of underground <br />improvements. <br /> <br />(h) An occupancy certificate shall not be issued until <br />all required improvements are co~pleted. <br /> <br />Section 1701.10 AcceDtance of Streets <br /> <br />Following the-completion of the permanent paving, but <br />not sooner than June 1st of the year following the <br />completion of the pavement, an inspection of all <br />improven]ents installed by the owner, as listed in this <br />Chapter, shall be made by the city engineer.
