-2- <br /> <br />(e) RULES AND REGULATIONS. The Director of Public <br />Safety shall Prescribe the rules and regulations for <br />the organization, administration, Conduct and control <br />of the auxiliary police unit. <br /> <br />(f) UNIFORM. The Director of Public Safety is auth- <br />oriZed to prescribe, by the rules and aregulations, the <br />type of uniform whiCh shall be worn by members of the <br />auxiliary police unit. <br /> <br />(g) SERVICE ON VOLUNTARY BASIS. Ail services per- <br />formed by auxiliary policement shall be on a voluntary <br />basis and within the city. <br /> <br /> (h) NONLIABILITY. This ordinance is declared by the <br /> Council as an exercise by the city of its police <br /> powers for the protection of public peace, health, <br /> property, safety, and general welfare, and neither <br /> the city nor its agent nor representative of the city, <br /> an officer appointed under the provisions of this <br /> ordinance, or any individual, firm, partnership, cor~- <br /> oration, or the receiver or trustees or any other <br /> agent thereof, who in good faith, executes any <br /> executive order, rule or regulation promulgated <br /> pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance, shall <br /> be liable for injury or damage sustained to person or <br /> property as the direct or proximate result of such <br /> action. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />AdoPted:_ October 7., 1968 <br /> <br />Robert E.
