as provided by the Constitution or, pursuant to ordinances adopted by <br />the Council, notice of the proposed amendments may be given by newspaper <br />advertising. If any such amendment is approved by a majority of the <br />electors voting thereon, it shall become a part of the Charter of the <br />Municipality, except that if two or more inconsistent amendments on the <br />same subject are submitted at the same election, only the one of such <br />amendments receiving the largest affirmative vote, not less than a majority <br />of the electors voting thereon, shall become a part of this Charter. A <br />copy of said Charter or any amendment theretoshall be certified to the <br />Secretary of State within thirty (30) days after the adoption by a vote <br />of the electors. <br /> <br />(Upon adoption of this amendment, present Section 7 of Article XXI of the <br />Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood shall be repealed) <br /> <br />be adopted?'' <br /> <br /> To the~left of said wording, in boxes, with appropriate places for marking, <br />shall appear the words "YES," and "NO," and each voter shall indicate his vote by <br />making a cross mark with a black lead pencil in the place so provided. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That public notice of the time and.place of holding such <br />election shall be given by publication or notice thereof at least ten (10) days <br />prior to the day of such election in a newspaper published and of general circulation <br />in the City. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the Clerk of Council b~ ~nd she is hereby directed to mail <br />a copy of the above proposed charter amendment to each elector whose name appears on <br />the registration books of the last regular election held in the City, at least thirty <br />(30) days before the date of such election, and to certify a copy of this ordinance <br />to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County. <br /> <br /> Section 5.
