That the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to <br />draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in <br />this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly approved by the <br />head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, provided <br />the President of Council shall approve all claims of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 17. In accordance with Article III, Section 14 of the Charter of <br />the City of Lakewood, Council hereby determines that the manner of giving <br />notice of the passage of this ordinance is to be by posting copies hereof <br />for a period not less than fifteen (15) days, in not less than five (5) <br />of the most public places in the City, which places have been determined <br />byUCouncil in Ordinance No. 55-59. <br /> <br />Section 18. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in Cforce immediately upon its adoption and <br />approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 1-72 and all other ordinances <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Mayo r <br /> <br /> <br />
