-2 - <br /> <br /> Each applicant' shall be charged with the duty of reporting any newly installed <br />amusement device or any substitutions made during the permit period. <br /> <br />719.05 IN%~ESTIGATION AMD INSPECTIOn,'. <br /> <br /> A. The Chief of Police shall investigate or cause to be investigated the <br />character and background of the applicant, the location wherein it is proposed to <br />install, operate, display or maintain such amusement device and such other matters <br />regarding the application for a permit as may be determined by the Chief of Police <br />and shall either approve or disapprove the application. <br /> <br /> B. The Building Official shall cause an inspection to be made of the installa- <br />tion or operation of such amusement device and shall either approve or disapprove <br />the application. <br /> <br /> C. No permit shall be issued to any applicant unless approved by the Chief <br />of Police and the Building Official. <br /> <br />719.06 PERMIT FEES~ DURATION <br /> <br /> A. Every applicant at the time of application shall pay to the City a fee in <br />the amount of $20.00 per each amusement device to be installed, operated, maintained <br />or displayed by the applicant. Such fees shall be retained by the City in a Guarantee <br />Fund until such time as such permit is either approved or refused. If such permit is <br />approved and issued, the fees held in the Guarantee Fund shall thereupon be trans- <br />ferred to the General Fund. If the permit is refused, the fees in the Guarantee Fund <br />shall be refunded to the applicant. <br /> <br /> B. Each permit shall expire on the 30th day of April of each year. <br />be no proration of any permit fees required by this chapter. <br /> <br />719.07 PERMIT DISPLAYl TRANSFER <br /> <br />There shall <br /> <br /> A. The permit herein provided for shall be posted permanently and conspicuously <br />at the location of the amusement device on the premises as such device is to be op- <br />erated, installed~.displayed or maintained. <br /> <br /> B. The Permit Clerk shall issue a sufficient number of decal type stamps to <br />cover the number of amusement devices contained in the application. Such decal type <br />stamps shall have the expiration date inscribed thereon and shall be placed upon <br />each amusement device by the applicant and shall remain affixed thereto during the <br />permit period. <br /> <br /> C. In the event an amusement device shall be replace~ during the permit period, <br />such insignia or decal type stamp may be transferred to the new amusement device but <br />not before application to 'the Mayor to such effect and upon' the giving of a descrip- <br />tion and the serial number of the new amusement device. <br /> <br /> D. If the permitee shall move his place of business to another location within <br />the City, such permit may be transferred to such new location upon application to and <br />the furnishing of information required by the Mayor. The new ap~lication shall be <br />investigated by the Chief of Police and the Building Official in the ~ame manner as <br />approved in Section 719.04. <br /> <br />719.08 PERIODIC CHECK <br /> <br /> The licensing authority is hereby authorized to make periodic checks of all es- <br />tablishments during the business hours of such establishments for the purpose of in- <br />spection of such amusement device to protect the health, safety and welfare of the <br />general public using such device. <br /> <br />719.09 PERMIT REVOCATION <br /> <br /> Every permit issued under this Chapter may be revoked and the licensing authority <br />is hereby expressly authorized to revoke any such permit in the event the permitee <br />directly or indirectly permits the operation of any such amusement device contrary <br />to the provisions of this Chapter or ordinances of the City or the laws of the state. <br /> <br /> <br />
