nominating petitions by candidates for the Office of Councilman of the <br />City of Lakewood for the term beginning on the next succeeding first <br />day of JanuarY and such salary shall not be increased or decreased during <br />such term and shall not take effect with respect to any member of Councib' <br />during the term for which he is elected. ~ <br /> <br />Such ordinance shall not be adopted or passed unless it has been read <br />at three (3) separate regular council meetings, the second and third of <br />such meetings not to be less than two (2) weeks subsequent to each prior <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Article XXIII SALARY AND EMOLUMENTS FOR A COUNCILMAN shall be and the <br />same is h'ereby repealed. <br /> <br /> be adopted?" <br /> <br /> To the lef~ of said wording, in boxes, with appropriate places for marking, <br />shall appear the words "YES," and "NO," and each voter shall indicate his vote by <br />making a cross mark with a black lead pencil in the place so provided. <br /> Section 3. That public notice of the time and place of holding such <br />election shall be given by publication of notice thereof at least ten (10) days <br />prior to the day of such election in a newspaper published and of general circulation <br />in.the City. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br /> cause notice of the within proposed charter an endment to be given pursuant to <br /> Section 107.10 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br /> of Lakewood and to certify a copy of this ordinance to the Board of Elections of <br /> Cuyahoga County. <br /> Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency' <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and providing it receives the <br /> affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br /> effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Approved :. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
