69-74 Amendment to agreement w/ Historical Society

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in COnsideration of the mutual promises and agreements of the parties hereto as herein Other valuable , COnsiderations the parties hereto agree as follows: , COntained, and 1. The parties hereto hereby agree to amend Paragraph 2 of said Agreement dated April 1, 1974 so that said Paragraph, as amended, shall read as follows: "The CITY shall initially pay the entire cost of the project and the SOCIETy shall reimburse the CITy in an amount equal to the tOtal funds advanced by the CITY less $16,000.00, payable to the CITY in three (3) installments as follows: (a) Fifty percent (50%) of said amount upon the COmpletion of the project. (b) Twenty'five percent (25%) of said amount on or before November 1, 1975. (c) Twenty-five percent (25%) of said amount on or before November 1, 1977o" 2. The parties further agree that except for the foregoing, the terms and provisions of the Agreement dated April 1, 1974 shall remain Jn full force and effect. IN WITNESS WHEREO~, the parties hereto have hereunto set their hands the day and year first above written. (SIGNATURES) Section 2. There is hereby appropriated from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund the sum of $16,000.00 representing the City's share of the cost of such improvement as per Agreement and a sum not to exceed $49,000.00 from the General Fund representing the balance of the cost of such improvement to be advanced by the City as provided by the within amendment. Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in fcrce immediately upon/~adoption and ~proval by the Adopted: ~ ~ ~/~/~/ · - ....
