e) If the Ohio Civil R{ghts Commission and the Director determin~ <br />that the person complained against has violated this Chapter, the Law <br />Director of the City of Lakewood shall prepare and issue a directive <br />requiring that person to cease and desist from such unlawful conduct <br />amd'within 15 calendar days take such affirmative action as will effectuate <br />the purpose of this Chapter. If after the fifteenth (15) day, the <br />situation has not been rectifie~, i~the Director of Community Development <br />shall initiate the proper legal~action through the LaW Department of the <br />City of~Lakewood, or the Ohio Civil Rights Commission or the U.S.Depart~ent <br />of Hous~ing and Urban Development, whatever ~the Director shall deem <br />appropriate. <br /> <br /> f) If at the conclusion of the informal hearing, the Director of <br />Community Develop~.ent and Law Director shall determine upon the preponderance <br />~f the evidence presented that the person complained against has not <br />violated this Chapter, the Director shall issue an order diSmissing <br />the complaint <br /> <br /> g) ~'ne D~rector Is advised to seek at anyt"[me the cooperation an4 <br />aid of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, U.S. Department of Housing an4 <br />Urban Development and any other person or group regarding any matter <br />before the Director as he deems appropriate. · <br /> <br /> 515.:09 -'OTHER LEGAL ACTIOIIS. <br /> <br /> Nothing. cont:.ained in this Chapter shall prevent any person from <br />eXercisimg any right or seeking any remedy to which he or she might <br />otherwise be entitled or from filing any complaint ~ith any other <br />agency or court of law. <br /> <br /> 515.98 - SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS. <br /> <br /> Section and sub-sections of this Ordinance and the seVeral parts <br />and provisions thereof are hereby declared to be independent sections, <br />sub-sections, parts and provisions and the holding of.any such section, <br />sub-section, part or provision thereof to be unconstitutional, void or <br />ineffective for any cause, shall not affect nor render invalid any otheF <br />such section, sub-section, part or provision thereof. <br /> <br /> 515.99 - PENALTIES. <br /> <br /> ~oever violates any of the provisions of this Chapter is guilty o~i <br />a misdemeanor of the third degree. ... <br /> <br /> Section '2.
