each foot or fraction thereof of spacin~ between the front axle and the rearmost axle of the <br />vehicle, nor exceed, for pneumatic tires, 38,000 pounds plus an additional 900 pounds <br />for each foot of spacing between tile front axle and tile rcarmost axle of the vehicle; nor <br />shall tile weight of vehicle and load imposed upon the road surface by any vehicle exceed, <br />for pneumatic tires 78,000 pounds; nor shall such weight of vehicle and load exceed, for <br />solid tires eighty percent of thc permissible weight of vehicle and load as provided for <br />pneumatic tires. In this section tile word "vehicle" means any single vehicle when not <br />in combination, or any combination of vehicles, as defined ill Ohio R.C. 4501.01. <br /> In the determination of weights under this section by a scale other than a compact, <br />self-contained, portable sealed scale specially adapted to determining the wheel loads <br />of highway vehicles, a weight is not unlawful unless it exceeds the weights provided <br />in this section plus three percent to compensate for possible weighing inaccuracy. <br /> If the provisions of this section are held to exceed the weight limitations, or other <br />provisions set forth in Section 127, "Federal Aid Ilighway .act of 1958," 72 Stat. 902 (1958) <br />23 U. S. C. 127, this section shall become nul1 and void to the extent of such inconsistency. <br />(ORC 5577.04, 5577.041) <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 339.01 lA)AD 1,IMITATIONS. <br /> Subject to the provisions of S(~ction 339.02, no vehicle, load, object or structure shall <br />be operated upon the streets within the City, having ~ maximum axle lo:~d greater than <br />16,000 pounds when such vehicle is equipped with solid rubber tires, or greater than 20,000 <br />pounds when such vehicle is equipped with pneumatic tires. That Section 339.03 of the Traffic Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> 339.03 MAXIMUMWIDTll, IIEIGtlTAND LENGTtl. <br /> No velficle shall be operated upon the public streets, highways, bridges and culverts <br />within the Municipality, whose dimensions exceed those specified in this section. <br /> (a) No such vehicle shall have a width in excess of: <br /> (1) 104 inches for passenger bus type vehicles operated exclusively <br /> within municipal corporations; <br /> (2) 132 inches for traction engines; <br /> (3) 96 inches, including load, for all other vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br />
