ORDINANCE NO. 2-78 BY: Messrs. Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, Usher AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of Finance to employ by contact the firm of Honeywe].l Corporation to provide professional services for the creation of an on-line Accounts Payable System in the Department of Finance. WHEREAS, this Co~ncil has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to further utilize and expand the Data Processing facilities at Lakewood Hospital in the Department of Finance, and W~EREAS, this Council has determined that it is necessary to employ the services of Honeywell Corporation in regard to the creation of said on-line Accounts Payable System, and WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immediate pres- ervation of the public health, safety and we]fare in that creation of an on-line Accounts Payable system in the Department of Finance should be commenced without delay; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and be is hereby authorized and directed to employ by contract the firm of Honeywell, Incorporated, 200 Smith Street, Waltham, Mass. 02154, to provide professional services for the purpose of creating an on-line Accounts Payable System in the Department of Finance at a cost not to exceed $9,000. Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. · >~" President ' _ Clerk Approved :~~~. ~, /~X~ ~%~~~fl ' .
