ORDINANCE NO. 82-79 <br /> <br />5Y: Wendling, Brockman, Brown, <br /> Chinnock, McBride, McNally, <br /> Salmon, <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor and Director of Public Works <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into a mutual aid agreement with <br />the cities of Bay Village, Rocky River, Fairview Park, North Olmsted and <br />Westlake for the interchange of the public service personnel, public service <br />equipment and the services of the .public service departments of said cities. <br /> WHEREAS, in order to obtain addtional public service assistance and <br />protection of life and limb and property and to ensure adequate operation of <br />the public service departments during times of disaster and real and present <br />emergency, it is the desire of the above-referred to communities to provide <br />for joint mutual assistance in the interchange and use of their respective <br />personnel and equipment, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br /> for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for <br />the usual-daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the ~.;ayor and Director of Public Works are hereby authorize, <br /> and directed on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into a mutual aid <br /> agreement with the cities of Bay Village, Rocky River, Fairview Park, North <br /> Olmsted and Westlake for the interchange of the services of their respective <br /> public service personnel, public service eouipment and the services of the <br /> public service departments; said agreement to be substantially in the <br /> form, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof as <br /> if fully re-written ~herein. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
