When said authorized peri,on of any of tile corttracting muni- <br />cipal corporations calls for assistance, he shall state the specific <br />emergency or activity requiring participatio~ by any of the parties hereto <br />stated. When such assistance is requested, the authorized person request- <br />ing such assistance shall give explcit directions as to the location where <br />such assistance .is requi.rcd, and shall, whenever possible, dispatch some- <br />one to a specific meeting place to escort the persons responding to .such <br />call to their destination. <br /> <br /> 4. No charge shall be made for the aforesaid service by either <br /> the parties hereto, and each of said parties shall assume the expense of <br /> any loss or damage to its own equipment or apparatus which may be incurred <br /> while in the other party's municipal boundaries, or while responding to a <br /> call in accordance with or under the te~ns of this agreement. <br /> <br /> 5. All personnel of the responding party, while responding to <br /> <br /> a call of a calling party, shall be acting within the scope of their em- <br /> ployment by the responding party, while en route to, en route from, and <br /> while acting within the territory of the calling municipality. <br /> <br /> 6. On any occasion or at any place to which additional assist- <br /> ance is called under and pursuant to the tez-ms of this agreement, the <br /> senior officer or foreman in charge of the public service department of <br /> the calling municipal corporation present shall have full charge and auth- <br /> ority over such assisting equipment and personnel of the responding munici- <br /> pal corporation. <br /> <br /> 7. The members of the public service ddpartment acting outside <br /> tile limits of the municipal corporation in which they are cmployed~ may <br /> participate in any pension or indemnity fund established by their employer <br /> to tho same extent as while acting within the employing municipal corpora- <br /> tion, and are entitled to all the rights' and benefits to the same extent <br /> as while performing service within the municipal corporation in which they <br /> are employed. The pension and indemnity fund of the m~u~J, cipal corporation <br /> calling for such a:;sistance shall not be liab].c for any benefits or res- <br /> ponsible in any way to any ~embers of Lite public service departments of <br /> the responding municipal corporations. <br /> <br /> <br />
