A change from one occupancy classification to another occupancy classification. However, change of occupancy is also intended to include a change of tenants or proprietors occupying retail space. RBC 1651.10(9) UNDERGROUND TANKS OUTSIDE BUILDINGS (Amended) g) Discontln~ing the Use of Underground Tanks. It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any gasoline filling station, or owner or operator of any other business which requires the use of gasoline or fuel oil storage tanks, to discontinue the use of such tanks or abandon such tanks without first giving at least 5 days notice of an intention so to do, to the Chief of the Fire Department. Ail under- ground storage tanks upon their abandonment for a period of 3 months shall be removed. RBC 1665.80(d) EMERGENCY LIGHTING (Amended) d) Requirements for Assemblies and Stores. In places where more than 500 persons may assemble and for stores, any floor above or below the ground floor and having a floor area of more than 5,000 square feet at any floor level, emergency lighting for all exitways shall be served from an approved source which conforms to the requirements of the National Electrical Code, for current supply for emergency lighting and is either from a service main served by a generating station or high tension source independent of that supplying the ser- vice main utilized for general illumination, heat, or power, or is a source independent of the public supply. RBC 1683~21 FENCES (Repealed) Section 1683.21 is hereby repealed. RBC 1689.O4 to 1689.68 PLUMBING (Repealed) Section 1689.O4 to 1689.68 is hereby repealed. RBC 1689.72 APPROVED STANDARDS FOR INSTALLATION (Amended) All gas piping to and in buildings and all gas appliances shall b~ designed, constructed and installed in conformity with accepted engineering practice. Compliance with the provisions of this Code or Chapter 95 of the RDH Code, or the statutes or regulations promulgated by authority of statute, or compliance with the several American Standards and Requirements for Gas Piping and Gas Burnln9 Appliances, published under the ASA designation Z21 and more completely identified in Chapter 7 of this Code or the same as may be amended from time to tim&; shall be prima-facie evidence of conforming to accepted engineering practice.
