ORD I NANCE NO, 47-80 BY: <br /> <br />Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br />Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to supplement Section 1301.O4 of the <br />Regional Dwelling House Code of the Building Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of Lakewood in order to amend, repeal or enact certain sections <br />of the Regional Dwelling House Code. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and for the <br />usual daily operation of a-municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1301.O4 of the Regional Dwelling House <br />Code of the Building Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood <br />be supplemented by amending, repealing or enacting certain sections of <br />the Regional Dwelling House Code as follows: <br /> <br />RDH 1503.10, Chapter l, Non-Structural'Alterations (Amended) <br /> <br /> When the cost of alterations or repairs within any two (2) year <br />period exceeds seventy-five per-;cent (75%) of the value of the existing <br />building or other structure, such building or other structure shall be <br />made to comply with the requirements for new buildings and other new struc- <br />tures. <br /> <br />RDH 1505.02, Application (Amended) <br /> <br /> An application for a permit Shall be filed with the Building <br />Official on a form prescribed by the Building Official by the person, cor- <br />poration, partnership, firm or other business association who shall perform <br />the work for which the permit was sought. <br /> <br />RDH 1505.08, Time Limitation (Amended) <br /> <br /> Any permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized <br />by it shall have been commenced within three (3) months after its issuance. <br />Any permit issued shall become invalid if the work authorized by it is not <br />completed within six (6) months after its issuance. The Building Official, <br />for good cause as evidenced by a written request by the permit holder, may <br />grant up to four (4) extensions of time for either of the above not exceeding <br />ninety (90) days each. <br /> <br />RDH Chapter 15, Registration, Licensing and Certificates of <br />Qualification (Repealed) <br /> <br />Sections 1515.Ol to 1515.15 are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> RDH 1517.O3 Letter "B" Building Line (Amended) <br /> <br /> Building Line - A li~e established by law or agreement, usually <br />parallel to the property, beyond which a structure may not extend. <br /> <br />RDH 1521.O1 Application (Amended) <br /> <br /> Standard specifications, codes, and other standard requirements, <br />rules, regulations or recommendations mentioned ~n any section of this dwelling <br /> <br />; <br /> <br /> <br />
