ORDINANCE NO. 49-80 <br /> <br />BY: Salmon, Wendling, Brown, Chinnock, <br /> Gallagher, Graham, McBride <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 1315.01 of the Building <br />Code of the Codiifed Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to fire <br />limits. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of public safety and welfare and for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1315.O1 of the Building Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> 1315.'01 ESTABLISHED; BOUNDARIES DESCRIBED; RESTRICTIONS. <br /> (a) There is hereby established fire districts in the City, the limits of which shall be <br /> as follows: <br /> (1) District No. 1. Beginning at a point in the intersection of the southerly street line <br />of Lake Avenue and the westerly street line of Highland Avenue; thence westerly in the <br />southerly street line of Lake Avenue to a point 150 feet west of the westerly street line of <br />Highland Avenue, measured at right angles thereto; thence southerly in a line parallel to <br />Highland Avenue and distant 150 feet from the westerly street line of such street, measured <br />at right angles thereto, to a point 150 feet northerly from the northerly right of way of the <br />New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad Company, measured at right angles thereto; <br />thence westerly 'in a line parallel fo the northerly right-of-way line of the N. Y. C. & St. <br />L.R.R. and 150 feet distant northerly, measured at right angles therefrom, to the easterly <br />shore line of Robky River; thence southerly in the easterly shore line of Rocky River to a <br />point 150 feet south of the southerly right-of-way line of the N.Y.C. & St. L.R.R., measured <br />at right angles thereto; thence easterly in a line parallel to and 150 feet south of the southerly <br />right-of-way line of the N.Y.C. & St. L.R.R., measured at right angles thereto, to the <br />westerly street line of H~h_l_a~d Ave~ue~ +~.~ :-:~.ce northerly in the westerly street line of <br />Highland Avenue to the place of beginning. <br /> (2) District No. 2. Beginning at a point in the westerly street line of Highland Avenue, <br />150 feet south of the southerly right-of-way line of the New York, Chicago and St. Louis <br />Railroad Company, measured at right angles thereto; thence westerly in a line parallel to <br />m~d distm~t southerly 150 feet from the southerly right-of-way line of the N.Y.C. & St. L.R.R., <br />measured at right angles thereto, to a point which is 150 feet westerly from the westerly <br />street line of Hi~zland Avenue, measured at right angles thereto; thence southerly in a line <br />parallel to and 150 feet distant westerly from the westerly street line of Highland Avenue, <br />measured at right angles thereto, to a point 150 feet northerly from the northerly street line <br />of Detroit Avenue, measured at right angles thereto; thence westerly in a line parallel fo the <br />northerly street line of Detroit Avenue, and Bridge Approach and distant northerly 150 feet <br />therefrom, measured at right angles, to the westerly street line of Sloane Avenue; thence <br />northerly in the westerly street line of Sloane Avenue, to the southerly boundary <br />line of District No. 1; thence westerly in the southerly boundary line of District No. 1 <br />to the easterly shore line of Rocky River; thence southerly in the easterly shore line <br />of Rocl~y River to the northerly line of Lincoln park, formerly known as Scenic Park; <br />thence easterly in the northerly line of Lincoln Park to a point 150 feet westerly from <br />the westerly street line of Sloane Avenue, measured at right angles thereto; thence <br />southerly and easterly in a line parallel to and distant 150 feet southerly and <br /> <br /> <br />
