In the Division of Fire, Department of Public Safety, Group <br />1 Firemen shall consist of firemen who have continuously served in the Division <br />of Fire two (2) full years or who, in the judgment of the Director of Public <br />Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired experience in the Division <br />of Fire in some other City. Group 2 Firemen shall consist of firemen who have <br />served continuously in the Division of Fire for more than one (1) year but less <br />than two (2) years. Group 3 Firemen shall consist of firemen who have served <br />in the Division of Fire for less than one (1) year. Provided, however, that <br />there shall be no increase in salary to a fireman by reason of said grouping until <br />certified by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 3. In the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, <br />Group 1 patrolmen shall consist of patrolmen who have continuously served in <br />the Division of Police two (2) full years or who, in the judgment of the Director <br />of Public Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired experience in <br />the Division of Police in some other City. Group 2 patrolmen shall consist of <br />patrolmen who have served continuously in the Division of Police for more than one <br />(1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 patrolmen shall conslst of patrolmen <br />who have served in the Division of Police for less than one (1) year. Provided, <br />however, that there shall be no increase in s~lary to any employee by reason of <br />the said grouping until certified by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Salary of the Director of Law shall cover a11 ordinary <br />service, ~ncluding legal advice and opinions as requested by Council, the Mayor, <br />and various departments, the drafting of ordinances and resolutions, attendance <br />at Council meetings, and the administration and supervision of the Law Department. <br />The Law Directors and Prosecutors shall receive additional professional fees <br />for the handling of any litigation involving the City of Lakewood or other <br />extraordinary services, such fees not to exceed the minimum fees prescribed by <br />the m~nimum fee schedule of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association. <br /> <br /> <br />
