All annual salaried employees, including the Chief of <br />Police and the Fire Chief, shall be entitled to compensable time for hours <br />worked in excess of eight (8) hours/day and forty (40) hours/week, and for <br />work performed on Saturday, Sunday or any holiday as defined in Section ]49.10. <br />This section does not apply to sworn personnel in the Division of Police and <br />in the Division of Fire, whose overtime compensation is provided by separate <br />collective bargaining agreements and to Foremen-Class A-Public Works Department, <br />whose overtime compensation is covered pursuant to Section 7 herein. <br /> <br /> Section 7. Foremen - Class A - Public WOrks Department - shall receive <br />time and one-half of their regular pay for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) <br />hours per day and forty (40) hours per week, and for all hours worked on <br />Saturday, Sunday, or any holiday, as defined in Section 149.10. <br /> <br /> Section 8. Foremen -Class A who work four (4). hours or more as part <br />of a regular shift assignment with the Refuse Department shall receive a shift <br />premium of 15¢ per hour for all hours worked during the second shift (3:30 p.m. <br />to 12 Midnight); and 20¢ per hour for all hours worked during the 3rd shift (from <br />12:01 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.) In the event a Class A Foreman is temporarily transferred <br />from his regular day shift to assignment to another shift for the purpose of emergency <br />snowplowing, he shall receive a premium pay of 50¢ per hour for every hour worked <br />up to eight (8) hours. <br /> <br /> Section 9. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thlrds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; and Ordinance 28-80, adopted April 21, 1980, Ordinance 34-80, adopted <br />June 2, 1980, Ordinance 83-80, adopted November 24, 1980 and Ordinance 7-81, <br />adopted February 17, 1981, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances <br />inconsistent herewith shall be and are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
