ORDINANCE NO. 28-81 <br /> <br />BY:Brown, Chinnock, <br /> Gatlagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.20 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide allowance <br />of costs of transportation to city employees commencing April 1, 1981. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in tha~ in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and dsfety, it is desirable to provide an allowance <br />of costs of transportation to employees of the City; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Codified <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.20 of the Administrative Code of the <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section t49.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br /> <br />(a) Commencing February 1, 1980, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid the sum of one hundred dollars ($]00.00) per month to <br />individuals in Group One and seventy dollars ($70.00) to individuals <br />in Group Two and forty dollars ($40.00) to employees in Group Three <br />holding the positions hereinafter designated, and who are not furnished <br />City owned vehicles for their use in the performance of their duties: <br /> <br />(l) Group One <br /> <br />(a) Building Inspectors <br />(b) Sanitary Officers in the Division of Health <br />(c) Outreach Workers (5) <br />(d) Visiting Nurses <br /> <br />(2) Group Two <br /> <br />(a) Sidewalk Inspectors~ while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks <br />(b) Building Commissioner <br />(c) Asst~ Building Commissioner <br />(d) ASSto Commissioner for Housing <br /> <br />(3) Group Three <br /> <br /> Home Health Aide <br />(b) Meter Readers <br />(c) Health Commissioner <br />(d) Planning Director <br /> <br />(b) Commencing February 1, 1980, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid to those employees of the City, and volunteers of [akewood <br />Office on Aging, who are required to use their personal automobile in <br />carrying out their duties on behalf of the City of L~kewood, other <br />than those City employees set forth in Sectlon 1 of this ordinance, <br />a mileage allowance of $O.15 per mile; provided however, that such <br />personal car use shall be approved by the appropriate department head <br />and provided further that, when applicable, such allowance shall not <br />exceed the cost of round trip coach air fare for such trip. <br /> <br /> <br />
