That Part 9 of the Streets and Public Services Code by <br /> and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting new Chapter 91~ to read ss <br /> <br />CHAPTER 913 WAST~ATER DISPOSAL <br /> <br />SECTION 913.01: Puroose and Polic~. <br />This Chapter s~ts forth uniform requirements for discharges into the <br />City's wastewa~er disposal system and enables the City to comply with <br />all State and Federal laws. <br /> <br /> The objectives of this Chapter are: <br /> a) To preven~ the introduction of pollutants into the waste- <br /> water disposal system which will interfere with the opera- <br /> tion of the system or the use or disposal of the sludge; <br /> b) To prevent the introduction of pollutants into the waste- <br /> water disposal system which will pass through the system <br /> inadequately treated into receiving waters or the at=os- <br /> phere or otherwis~ be.incompatible with the system; and <br /> c) to improve the opportunity to recycle and reclaim waste- <br /> <br /> water and sludge from the system. <br /> This Chap=er provides for the regulation of discharges into the City's <br /> was~ewaEer disposal system through the issuance of permits =o certain <br /> users and through enforcement of the general requirements for the other <br /> users, authorizes menitoring and enforcement activities, requires user <br /> reporting, and provides for the setting of fees for the equitable <br /> distribution of costs resulti~§ from the program established herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
