If the Mayor be temporarily <br />absent from the City, or becomes temporarily disabled from any <br />cause, his duties shall be performed during such absence or <br />disability by one of the officials named and in the above <br />order, under the title of Acting Mayor. <br /> <br />(Upon adoption of this amended Section, the existing Article <br />II, Section 8 of the Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood <br />shall be repealed.) <br /> <br />be adopted?" <br /> <br /> Said ballot shall provide appropriate means for the voter to <br />indicate his affirmative or negative vote on the question. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to: forward a certified copy of this ordinance to the Board of <br />Elections of Cuyahoga County; cause notice of the foregoing proposed <br />Charter amendment to be given pursuant to Section 107.10 of the Admini- <br />strative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio <br />and Section 731.211 of the Revised Code of Ohio; and give public notice <br />of the time and place of holding such election by publication of notice <br />thereof at least ten (10) days prior to the day of such election in a <br />newspaper published and of general circulation in the City. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the Director of Law is hereby authorized and <br />directed to prepare and submit to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, wording for the ballot submitting the question of the <br />foregoing proposed amendment upon request from the Board of Elections <br />that the City furnish additional or alt'ernative wording to that set <br />forth in Section 2 of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 5. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 6. That this~ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated and defined in the preamble <br />hereof and, providing it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Appr°ved" .~ ~/ /'~/ <br />18MI-C <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
