151.02 PAYMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF CLAIMS OF $300,00 OR LESS. The Director of Finance, upon approval of the compromise and settlement of any such action, cause of action, claim or demand against the City for three hundred dollars ($300.00) or less by the Mayor, the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to pay the amount so approved, upon obtaining satisfactory release, and charge the amounto the proper fund. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to accept payment of any such claimin favor of the City amounting to three hundred dollars ($300.00) or less upon the approval of such settlement, adjust- ment and compromise thereof by the Mayor, Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of Law, to execute the proper receipt or release and to credit any such amount to the proper fund. shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 151.02 PAYMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF CLAIMS OF $500.00 OR LESS. The Director of Finance, upon approval of the compromise and settlement of any such action, cause of action, claim or demand against the City for five hundred dollars ($500.00) or less by the Mayor, the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to pay the amount so approved, upon obtaining satisfactory release, and charge the amount to the proper fund. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to accept payment of any such claim in favor of the City amounting to five hundred dollars ($500.00) or less upon the approval of such settlement, adjust- ment and compromise thereof by the Mayor, Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council and the Director of Law, to execute the proper receipt or release and to credit any such amount to the ~rooer f~nd. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of.this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
