ORDINANCE NO. 55-83 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, McBride, Salmon, <br /> Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE additionally appropriating the sum of $20,000 from <br />the unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvements Fund for the purpose <br />of funding the cost of preparation of a five year Development Plan by an <br />outside consultant on the behalf of the Lakewood Planning Commission. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has requested assistance so as to create <br />a five year Developmental Plan for the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council of the City of Lakewood has rec- <br />commended that a sum of $20,000 be set aside for such a purpose, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance is an emergency measure which is necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and <br />welfare in the City; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the sum of $20,000 be and is hereby appropriated from <br />the unappropriated balance of the Capital-Improvements Fund for profession- <br />al services (Planning Consultants). <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an <br />open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meet- <br />ing open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />the City's Charter and Codified Ordinances. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the imemdiate preservation of the public peace, property, <br />health, safety and welfare in the City for the reasons set forth and defined <br />in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, this ordinance shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council <br />and approval by the Mayor, otherwise it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
